Dept. of Justice enters consent decree with California seafood processor

A California seafood importer and processor has agreed to a consent decree with the FDA that prevents the company from manufacturing or distributing fish or fish products until it has corrected conditions in its seafood processing facility alleged to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes (L. mono) bacteria.

Kwik Trip, Inc. located in La Crosse, WI is recalling Glazers Donuts in a 10.75 oz. cardboard box because it may contain undeclared traces of egg. Consumers who are allergic to eggs may run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume this product. On April 5, Kwik Trip, Inc. recalled all Glazers Donuts from their Retail locations due to the undeclared allergen.

Odwalla, Inc. is recalling Odwalla Chocolate Protein Monster beverage in 12-oz and 32-oz bottles, with "enjoy by" dates prior to and including 23 MAY 2012, because of reports from consumers allergic to peanuts and/or tree nuts experiencing severe allergic reactions after consuming this beverage. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to peanuts and/or tree nuts may run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.
