SURTEX FOODS CO. of Los Angeles is recalling Oaxaca string Cheese La Original in their 17.63 oz/ 500 gr presentation because it has the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes and Staphylococcus aureus.
Listeria monocytogenes is an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.

On November 15, 2010 AngioScore Incorporated, Fremont, CA initiated a worldwide recall of the AngioSculpt® PTA Scoring Balloon Catheter, 0.018” OTW, balloon sizes: 4.0x20mm, 5.0x20mm, and 6.0x20mm. This recall was initiated because of a small number of reports from the field of distal bond failure which has resulted in peeling of the bond and/or detachment of the distal end of the scoring element, wherein the proximal end of the scoring element remains secured to the catheter.

La Placita Botanas Mexicanas, Inc. of South El Monte, California is recalling Wheat Snacks with Chile, Potato Chips with Chile, and Corn Churritos with Chile because they have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy persons infected with Salmonella often experience fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain.
