Amrita Health Foods is recalling a limited number of Amrita Bars because they have the
\npotential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, an organism which can
\ncause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people,
\nand others with weakened immune systems. Although healthy individuals may suffer
\nonly short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea,
\nabdominal pain and diarrhea, Listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths
\namong pregnant women. No confirmed illnesses have been reported to public health
